The
unit consists of a cyclic dual timer with one having a fixed setting
of 15 minutes and another selectable between the two options provided
viz. 2 and 4 minutes in one model and another model with an option
to vary from 2 to 9 minutes of one minute steps. The ESAC can
be installed in a matter of minutes. It is connected in between
the A.C and the mains by using the plug and socket provided in
the unit. Another model suitable for installing the unit inside the Air Conditioner is also available. This unit can be connected either to switch off the Air Conditioner totally or only switch off the compressor and ensure continous working of the blower. |

A 1 Tonne air conditioner consumes about 1.5 units per hour and a 1.5 Tonne about 2.2 units/hour. The power saved can be anywhere between 0.2 units/hour to about 1 unit/hour, depending upon the setting chosen. The off time can be higher in winter and lower in summer. Settings can be altered very easily.
The cost of the ESAC can be recovered in a very short time which can be as low as 6 months, depending upon the setting chosen.
