POWER
INPUT CONTROLLERS are suitable for stepless control of output power,
either automatically by a variable input signal (eg. 4 - 20 mA)or by
manually altering the potentiometer setting.
The
Controller is capable of delivering continuously variable A.C. output
and can be used to control temperature of furnaces, ovens or other
heating loads or transformers and/or Rectifier coupled loads. The
control can be by PHASE CONTROL or by INTEGRAL CYCLES CONTROL. It is
also possible to provide SOFT START and CURRENT LIMIT features, to
eliminate overloading problems especially encountered in cold switching
of furnaces or other heating loads. Further more precise control of
temperature becomes possible. The life of heating elements will
increase. There is scope for SAVING ENERGY. |

These
Thyristorised Power Input Controllers are available in different
capacities ranging from 10 Amps to 4500 Amps, either for single phase
or three phase loads for 3 wire / 4 wire system using full control or
half control schemes. They are insensitive to phase rotation and can be
protected against single phasing and overloads. Transient voltage
protection is also provided.
POWER INPUT CONTROLLERS are ideal replacement for conventional auto
transformers and magnetic amplifiers/transductors.
These can also be manufactured to suit different configurations and
individual requirements.
