DELSTAR
CONVERTER MODULE IS A short pay-back period ENERGY SAVING product - less
than one year in most of the cases operates motors in "Star" mode when the load is less than 50% to SAVE ENERGY.
This module selects "Star" or "Delta" mode of operation by continuously
monitoring the load. There will be considerable savings when the motor
is operated in "Star".
Protections are also provided against running overload,
starting overload, and single phasing. Motor over temperature trip and
operating current indication facilities are offered as optional.

Motors coupled to HIGH INERTIA LOADS require higher capacity motors to meet the starting current requirements. These motors work at low loads, once starting is over. In these cases motors can be started in Delta and then run in Star to save considerable amount of Energy. If the motors are fitted with DOL starter only, it will be worthwhile to fit a Star Delta starter along with the module TO SAVE ENERGY. |
