SYNOPSIS: The SOUND LEVEL METER model SLM - 200H for measuring sound level consists of a highly stable and robust Electret condenser microphone, impedance matching circuit, a high gain amplifier, weighting network and a digital indicating meter. The microphone is coupled to the high impedance input circuit followed by a highly stabilised amplifier. The three weighting networks A,B & C are basically passive high pass filters with cut off frequencies of approximately 1000 Hz., & 40 Hz. The noise level with frequencies more than 1000 Hz. can be measured accurately, independent of surrounding noise which is mostly low frequency noise. Since the instrument is small, light and powered by batteries, the instrument is portable. The instrument is suplied in a leather carrying case.
